Query.   Hello- We are looking for the family of Daniel and Carrie Bell Nolan who  moved to Hobbs, NM, sometime between 1930-1975.  The had two sons--  Darrel and Dale, both born in the 1920s.  We know that Darrel and Dale  are both buried in Sante Fe in the National Cemetery.  Our family lost  track of them in the 1970s.  I cannot seem to find death dates or   burial places for Daniel or Carrie Belle despite looking though many  New Mexico resources.   Can anyone help?    Barry Nolan,  Coshocton, OH

Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2006 12:41 PM.  Subject: Lea County Query.   I'm looking for information about William Charles Gibson.   He was born in Lovington, NM about 1912.    He earned his living as a laborer and ranch hand. His wife, Helen was a cook on the ranches.    I believe he may have moved around a lot.  He supposedly died when he was hit by  train  (on foot or in a car?), in 1944 just a few weeks (days, months?) before his son was born in October 1944.   His son was born in Wagon Mound  but I don't know where William  was at this time. I'm assuming he was in New Mexico, but don't know if he was in Wagon Mound also.   I can find no record of him anywhere in NM and no  newspaper story of any   train accidents in 1944.   Also, his father may have been "John" and his mother may have been "Margaret".  Thanks for any info on him or his family.   Thanks,  Elva Gibson.     eagibson@cox.net

In the 1930 Federal census, Roy was listed as a foreman for an oil company and on 10 July 1942 he was killed while working in the oil fields in Hobbs, Lea Co., NM. Query.   Looking for information on Aliff Hall.  Aliff died in Hobbs in Lea  County in late 2002.  She was born about 1917 in Arkansas.  Her mother was Pearl Grey Hall.  Father was Ira Thompson Hall, she had a sister by the name of Mary K.  I am trying to determine her date of death and where she was buried.  Thanks Kathy Hall bubblesnbags@netzero.com

Query.   I am looking for information on OLLIE LEE BETTS and GEORGIA BELLE BOYLES BETTS.  OLLIE was born 1900 in ROBERTSON, TEXAS.  S⁄O JAMES ISAAC BETTS and LORENA IVY.  GEORGIA BELLE BOYLES was born 1901 in DICKENS,  TEXAS D⁄O JOSEPH H. BOYLE and SARA ELIZABETH PENNINGTON. I am not sure when they moved to HOBBS, LEA CO., N.M. but some of their children were born there.  OLLIE died in 1991 and is buried in MEMORY GARDENS, LEA, NEW MEXICO.  GEORGIA died in 1975 and is also buried in MEMORY GARDENS,  LEA CO., NEW MEXICO.
